SHEET METAL WORKER

JOB DESCRIPTION

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Sheet Metal Worker that has knowledge of installing and repair sheet metal products and equipment, in HVAC systems. Able to read blueprints, measure and cut metal, and ensure proper sealing and insulation of ductwork for optimal system performance. 

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Measure, cut, and shape sheet metal using various tools, and assemble and install ductwork and other HVAC components.
• Clean, repair, and troubleshoot ductwork in HVAC systems, ensuring proper airflow and system efficiency.
• Operate soldering, welding, and riveting equipment to join sheet metal parts. 
• Read and interpret blueprints and HVAC system layouts to understand project specifications.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Other duties may be assigned that pertain to sheet metal work.
• Must closely follow applicable safety and risk prevention regulations.

Required and Preferred Qualifications:

Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years` experience required.
• Certifications.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and tools.

Preferred:

• Ability to read technical drawings.
• Knowledge of sheet metal assembly techniques.
• Hard work ethic and willingness to work flexible schedule dependent on workflow.
• Strong understanding of relevant workplace safety regulations.
• Excellent math skills preferred.
• knowledge of building codes.
