MASTER ELECTRICIAN

JOB DESCRIPTION

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Master Electrician to join our dynamic team at JWS Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Ltd. In this pivotal role, you will oversee complex electrical installations, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and lead a team of electricians in executing high-quality work across various projects. Your expertise will ensure that our electrical systems are reliable, efficient, and up to code.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Supervise and manage electrical installations, maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
• Conduct thorough inspections of electrical systems and troubleshoot any issues to ensure optimal functionality.
• Lead and mentor a team of electricians, providing guidance and training on best practices and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with project managers and other trades to ensure timely completion of electrical work.
• Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine project specifications and requirements.
• Stay updated with the latest electrical codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules for electrical systems to prevent downtime.
• Guiding and overseeing with training and mentorship with other apprentices or journeyman electricians.

Required and Preferred Qualifications:

Required:

• Valid Master Electrician license
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical installation and maintenance
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes and safety standards
• Proven experience managing electrical projects from inception to completion

Preferred:

• Experience in commercial electrical work
• Strong communication and leadership skills

Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies:

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints and schematics
• Experience with electrical troubleshooting tools and technologies
• Knowledge of energy-efficient systems and practices
• Familiarity with automation systems and controls

Soft Skills and Cultural Fit:

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
