Description:

The Assistant GM will oversee the daily operations of the front desk, Housekeeping, and Engineering, and ensure that every guest receives a warm welcome and exceptional service throughout their stay. This role is ideal for someone with excellent communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and a knack for problem-solving. The AGM role serves as a direct training ground for becoming a General Manager. It is a demanding position that requires 24/7 availability for emergencies, but it offers a clear path toward top-level leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operations Oversight: Managing day-to-day activities, including front office, housekeeping, and maintenance.
  • Staff Management: Recruiting, training, scheduling, and supervising employees to maintain performance standards.
  • Guest Relations: Handling guest complaints and ensuring a positive, welcoming experience.
  • Financial & Administrative: Monitoring budgets, managing inventory, and assisting with revenue management.
  • Leadership: Acting as the primary point of contact in the General Manager's absence.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Assistant General Manager or in a similar customer service role in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with a hands-on approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations with a calm and positive demeanor.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Leadership & Communication: Strong ability to motivate staff and communicate clearly across departments.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to handle, often urgent, guest issues efficiently.
  • Experience: Previous hotel management or supervisory experience is typically required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in property management systems (e.g., Roommaster) and financial reporting
