The Service Advisor (SA) together with his/her team members is responsible for meeting customers and dealing with customer requirements pertaining to repair and/or servicing of their vehicle issues. Additionally, the SA is actively involved in promoting service sales regarding maintenance and repair needs that are identified during the service appointment process.

The Service Advisor work station is in the service lane, which is in an open garage area. During vehicle inspection at in-take (service lane) or work-in-progress (technician stall), he/she is required to physically inspect a vehicle from end-to-end and from top-to-bottom. Must be well coordinated physically and able to stand for long periods of time. May lift up to 70 pounds occasionally. S/he will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials especially in shop area when discussing with team members status of customer`s vehicle. Road testing of vehicles also may be required.
