Job Details

The Painter will use paint application techniques and equipment to finish interior and exterior surfaces professionally.

Job Duties:

• Measures area to be painted; determines quantity and type of paint to use for the project.
• Identifies and orders appropriate paint colors and finishes, mixing if needed.
• Prepares surfaces for painting, which may include removing prior finishes using chemicals, grit blasting, or other methods.
• Masks, removes, covers, or otherwise protects furniture, hardware, trim, and other nonpainted surfaces.
• Applies paint to interior and exterior surfaces using brushes, rollers, sprayers, airbrushes, stencils, and other tools.
• Performs basic stencil and line work, which may include painting lines on factory floors, parking lots, and other surfaces.
• May apply wallpaper, specialty finishes, and glazes.
• Comply with chemical and waste storage and disposal regulations and best practices.
• Builds scaffolding according to safety regulations.
• Maintains a clean work area.
• Prepare invoices and other paperwork detailing material and labor time, and costs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED
• Driver's license
• Handyman skills in household plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and cleaning
• Available to work OT, after hours on-call, and or on company-recognized holidays if needed
