Payroll/Accounts Specialist

Our company is seeking an individual that has knowledge and experience in the Payroll and Time and Attendance field.

The individual will work closely with CFO to manage Payroll and Time and Attendance functions

Ideal candidate uses strong analytical skills to create detailed payroll reports. To succeed in this role, the individual should also have a problem-solving attitude and be able to manage a team.

Ultimately, the individual should be able to ensure our payroll management is accurate and effective.

The position requires excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and detail-oriented individual. Accuracy, reliability, and self –motivation a must.

At least three (3) years` experience in payroll or related field.

Responsibilities for Payroll Specialist

  • Process payroll for employees in the organization
  • Maintain personnel database regarding salaries.
  • Report to department supervisor regarding daily activities and issues
  • Address and resolve employee complaints relating to the payroll system.
  • Work with company database programs to process payroll.
  • Prepare reports to relevant departments about payroll and expense.
  • Managing payroll for various entities
  • Process Payroll Quarterly Tax Reports
  • Process Year End W2's and W3's
  • Know how to handle Payroll Tax Notices
  • Managing day-to-day transactions
  • Assisting the CFO with various payroll tasks, records, and statements
  • Daily payroll accounts posting
  • Handles Administrative tasks.
  • To handle company errands: payroll bill/tax payments and bank run

Qualifications for Payroll Specialist

  • Proven experience in a payroll position in a fast-paced environment required.
  • Strong knowledge of tax and wage laws
  • Good understanding of the common fiscal procedures
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Exceptional multitasking and organizational skills
  • Able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in business accounting preferred or at least 3 years of experience in payroll processing.

Data Entry; Proficiency or knowledge with any payroll software`s, timekeeping, Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Payroll Experience; Detail Oriented; Organized; Strong Payroll Skills; Strong Written and Oral Communication Skills.

  • Training in our Payroll and Time and Attendance software will also be provided.
