Supervise work areas to ensure efficient service and conformance to standards. Monitor service supplies inventory and ensure adequate supplies are available. Monitor equipment for proper use and maintenance. Ensure proper reconciliation of sales and receipts at the end of the work shift. Address customer requests and complaints. Address and report any workplace hazards or injuries/illnesses.
This is for local hire only. Must be able to work on Guam USA without any restrictions. US citizens, US permanent residents, and residents of Federated States of Micronesia (FSM) are eligible. Must have a health certificate and ABC card. Experience as a supervisor in a restaurant or hotel restaurant/banquet is preferred. Experience as a bartender or bar supervisor is preferred. Must be flexible to work on weekends, holidays, and inclement weather.
Lead the team by example by promoting and maintaining a safe and positive workplace. Promote teamwork and quality service through regular communication and coordination with managers, team members, and other departments. Advice managers on daily staffing recommendations. Communicate management goals and ensure compliance of policies and procedures. Conduct pre-shift briefings as requested by managers. Assist in conducting performance appraisals and other HR-related actions as requested by managers.
Monitor and ensure the proper balancing and reconciliation of sales and receipts. Monitor and ensure proper use of food service supplies. Enhance guest experience by responding timely to guest requests. Respond timely and appropriately to guest requests and complaints. Make appropriate service recovery gestures in accordance with established guidelines. Consult with managers to identify and realize optimal service delivery standards. Ensure compliance of procurement and disposal rules and regulations. Ensure proper set-up of dining and banquet areas. May serve as manager-on-duty as requested.
