US Department of Defense - - Responsibilities: Disassemble/repair/reassemble/adjust hydraulic cylinders, hydraulic control valves, and associated equipment concerning periscopes, radar and radio antenna masts, submarine snorkels; Perform all tasks for shafting, steam and open machinery systems; Perform all tasks related to torpedo tubes, torpedo ejection, vertical launch system, 3" launcher, weapons handling and stowage, towed arrays, optical and electrical alignment; Perform all tasks related to steering and diving (hydraulic, structural, mechanical and electrical control), ship service hydraulics and external hydraulics; Interpret and apply requirements contained in technical work documents, technical manuals, shop directives, multi-view blueprints
