CBRE Government & Defense - - Responsibilities: Checks and okays building plans and inspects initial building construction, repairs, and current condition to ensure adherence to contract specifications, building codes and ordinances, and zoning regulations.; Conducts interior and exterior inspections; checks the structural quality and general safety of buildings; inspects plumbing, electrical, and other systems to ensure that they meet code; and gives approval on final inspection certificates.; Understands and interprets building codes and conveys necessary information verbally and in documentation.; Documents and reports on code violations and poor compliance, including suggestions for bringing buildings up to code.; Keeps logs, including photographs taken during inspections, and completes inspection reports.
