MasTec Communications Group Warehouse Coordinator

Responsibilities:

• Move material within the distribution center and from the loading platform, whether loading, pushing, rolling, or operating forklifts, cranes, motorized conveyors, or other material handling equipment.
• Receive incoming inventory and supplies, record it in the company's warehouse system, and store the inventory in the appropriate location.
• Read work orders, shipping orders, or follow verbal instructions.
• Fill out invoices for customers.
• Verify part numbers, clean, and pack inventory items.
• Inspect inventory for defects, scratches, or other damages. Notify the Warehouse Manager of any issues.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures while on company premises or driving company vehicles or equipment.
• Track all inventory in the appropriate system.
• Organize and clean the warehouse space and company equipment as needed.
• Report any customer problems or concerns immediately.
• Train fellow associates on warehouse operational practices, equipment operation, and safety procedures as needed.
• Apply policies and procedures to ensure efficient, effective, and safe warehouse operations.
• Evaluate current processes and procedures and recommend changes to warehouse management.
• Contribute ideas on ways to reduce the cost per unit of the warehouse and increase productivity.
• Maintain practical knowledge of the warehouse data system and perform various tasks within the system.
• Deliver supplies and equipment in a timely manner, observing all DOT and OSHA regulated regulations when necessary. Other assigned duties.

Qualifications:

• You have a history of completing work with a high level of quality.
• You have a knack for solving difficult problems and enjoy a practical approach to your work.
• You have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• You are frequently required to walk or stand for long hours and must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Experience operating forklifts (forklift certification is a plus).
• Capable of operating personal computers and software programs, including specific knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• You have at least 1 year of warehouse experience.
