About the Role:

As a Lead Software Architect, you will become a vital member of Crowe's Digital Audit product team, contributing to the evolution and delivery of cutting-edge audit services. This role is essential for revolutionizing audit work processes, focusing on the architecture of a cloud-native platform in collaboration with product, engineering, and technology leaders to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and innovative.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive technical expertise, a passion for high-quality software development, and experience leading teams in a scaled Agile environment. You will also advocate for the responsible use of AI in both the platform and development practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Digital Audit product team to design, enhance, and deliver the Digital Audit platform leveraging the Microsoft technology stack and Azure.
  • Define and oversee the technical roadmap to shape architectural direction, articulating the business value of investments.
  • Work closely with Product Leadership to refine epics and features for technical feasibility and scalability.
  • Maintain an architectural runway that allows teams to deliver value continually and predictably.
  • Lead by example by promoting AI-powered development tools and coding assistants to enhance productivity and code quality.
  • Promote a Shift Left mindset, integrating quality, security, and performance considerations early in development.
  • Engage with Enterprise Architecture and various technology teams to ensure solutions meet firmwide security, compliance, and reliability standards.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and provide guidance on valuable new approaches.
  • Identify and mitigate technical debt to maintain a healthy, adaptable platform.
  • Mentor and coach engineers, enhancing design quality and engineering practices.

Technical Skills Required:

  • 12+ years of experience in designing, developing, and implementing enterprise or SaaS applications utilizing the Microsoft technology stack and .NET.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in data modeling and business intelligence.
  • Strong proficiency in Angular and TypeScript.
  • Proven experience leading cloud-first development initiatives on Azure.
  • Practical experience building or integrating AI solutions, including Azure Document Intelligence and OpenAI services.
  • Experience in architecting and leading delivery within a scaled Agile framework.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps or similar tools for work item management, as well as Git for version control.
  • Solid understanding of DevOps principles and deployment automation, familiar with Azure DevOps pipelines or similar tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts and design patterns.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating across varied teams.
  • Experience working on complex software projects requiring collaboration across teams.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with financial or accounting data.
  • Experience with Power BI and scalable data analytics.
  • Experience with Synapse.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.

Certifications:

  • Preferred certifications include Azure, Microsoft development, and other relevant certifications.

The salary range for this position considers various factors, including skills, experience, and certifications, among others, with an expected range from $129,500 to $325,500 per year.
