Job Summary A full-time position dedicated to supporting children who have been adopted or impacted by foster care and their adoptive parents or other legal guardian in accessing services, resources, and supports to ensure long-term placement stability.
Primary Responsibilities · Engaging in marketing activities, including reconnecting with families who have previously adopted or taken legal custody of a youth in foster care to inform about the continuum of post-permanency services available.
· Collaboration with foster care and WWK staff to facilitate an introduction with families to discuss program options.
· Implementation of Family Adoption Preparation curriculum.
· Completion of Comprehensive Family and Diagnostic Assessments.
· Develop service/treatment plans based on the needs of the child and their family.
· Provide family bonding activities customized to the age and needs of child(ren).
· Provision of services including parent coaching, TBS/CPST, and educational advocacy.
· Rotationally on-call by cell phone during non-work hours for consultation and crisis.
· Assist with information and referrals for families in need of post-adoption support.
· Overseeing social media and/or virtual support groups.
· Plan and coordinate events bringing adoptive families and children together for education and support opportunities.
· Coordination of services with a team of service providers.
· Data collection for program analysis and reporting.
· Utilize electronic records system to complete required documentation for compliance and billing, within set time frames.
· Attend meetings and trainings as required.
· Follow all policies and procedures established by Caring for Kids, Inc.
· Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree or higher in Social Work or Counseling is preferred.
• Licensure by the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board is preferred.
• Personal or professional foster care/adoption experience required.
• Valid driver's license, car insurance ($100,000/$300,000), and a clean driving record, as well as a reliable vehicle with valid registration, is required.
• Ohio Adoption Assessor.
Required Knowledge and Skills: · Proficiency in clinical diagnosis and understanding of the DSM-V preferred
· Capable of effective crisis management.
