The Collections Enforcement section is currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented individual with a passion for public service to fill a Clerk 2 position. This position will report to the Columbus, Ohio office at 30 East Broad Street daily.

The Clerk 2 will perform a variety of clerical tasks in support of other section staff. The duties for these positions include, but are not limited to, the following:

  1. Answers telephone, takes messages and/or refers calls
  2. Greets and assists visitors with general information
  3. Picks up, opens, date stamps, sorts, distributes and/or sends out mail and other correspondence; date stamps and records all incoming checks
  4. Types various materials
  5. Completes routine forms
  6. Operates video display terminal to enter and retrieve data; operates word processing equipment and/or personal computer
  7. Makes copies
  8. Counts, alphabetizes, separates, collates, codes, sorts and distributes materials
  9. Processes financial and/or budgetary statements, purchase orders and/or billings
  10. Uses computer to maintain files by creating, consolidating, or purging files
  11. Researches computer files for data or information requested; makes corrections to filed data; logs and codes data
  12. Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

High School Diploma; 4 months training or 4 months experience in office practices and procedures; 3 months training or 3 months experience in use of personal computer; 3 months training or 3 months experience in customer service. -Or 4 months experience as a Clerk 1, 12111AG. -Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above. Job Skills: clerical and data entry, attention to detail, customer focus, priority setting, teamwork, and verbal communication
