Pelton Shepherd Industries is hiring an Assistant Machine Operator to support safe, efficient, and high-quality production operations. This role is ideal for dependable team players with manufacturing experience who want to build technical skills in a fast-paced environment.

What Youll DoAssist with operating and changing over production equipmentInspect, handle, and pack finished products per SOPsPerform stacker and packer duties accurately and efficientlyConduct quality checks (counts, weights, seals, print, dates)Monitor machines and report issues to supervisorsPerform roll changes and minor preventive maintenanceIdentify equipment or product issues and shut down machines when requiredMaintain a clean and safe work area

What Were Looking For2+ years of manufacturing or production experienceStrong attention to detail and quality standardsBasic math, counting, and measurement skillsAbility to read and follow English SOPsMechanical aptitude and willingness to learn equipmentAbility to work well in a team and communicate clearlyFlexibility to take on additional tasks as needed

EducationHigh school diploma or GED requiredOn-the-job training may substitute for experience

Physical RequirementsStand and walk for extended periodsLift up to 50 lbs; push/pull 75100 lbs with assistanceFrequent reaching, climbing/balancing, and handling materialsVisual inspection of products and equipment required
