Central Sterile Technician

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Central Sterile Technician to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will help ensure the safety and cleanliness of surgical instruments and equipment by decontaminating, inspecting, sterilizing, and assembling surgical instrument trays according to established protocols.

Central Sterile Technician Qualifications:

• Central Sterile Processing Certification (CRCST or CBSPD) required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of sterilization techniques and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.

• Decontaminate, clean, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
• Assemble and organize surgical instrument trays based on operating room schedules.
• Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and identify defects or damage.
• Operate and maintain sterilization equipment, such as autoclaves and sterilizers.
• Follow infection control standards and hospital policies to ensure patient safety.
• Keep accurate records of sterilization processes, including load testing and biological indicators.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure timely availability of sterilized instruments.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of sterilization equipment.
