Lead safety performance, injury prevention, and training programs for transportation operations and driver fleet.
Direct driver safety training, accident prevention, and compliance programs, including defensive driving, cargo securement, vehicle inspections, and fatigue management.
Audit and manage contract carriers for safety compliance and performance.
Track, analyze, and report key safety metrics (e.g., accident rates, CSA scores) to executive leadership.
Coordinate preventive vehicle maintenance, inspections, and repairs to uphold fleet safety.
Implement and manage safety technologies (e.g., telematics, onboard monitoring) to track driver behavior and compliance.
Oversee drug and alcohol testing programs in compliance with FTA/DOT regulations.
Conduct accident investigations, root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions.
Lead the transportation safety team and contribute as a key member of the broader company safety committee.

Facilitate leadership training and development for transportation supervisors, managers, and emerging leaders.
Champion continuous improvement to achieve zero accidents and injuries, using data analytics and root cause analysis.
Establish and enforce transportation safety methods, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and emergency response plans.
Design, administer, and evaluate a safety ride-along program for all company fleet drivers and contract carriers.

Our Position Requirements
In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations, risk management, and safety audits.
7-10 years' experience leading training and safety programs in transportation or trucking, with proven leadership.
Extensive expertise in fleet safety, DOT/FMCSA regulations, CSA score management, and accident investigation.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in occupational safety, business management, logistics, supply chain, or related field; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., Certified Transportation Professional (CTP), Certified Director of Safety (CDS), or CSP) preferred
Strong background in training administration, workforce development, and leadership training.
Proficiency in safety software, data analytics, and telematics for compliance and metrics tracking.
Advanced skills in building high-performing teams and gaining commitment through superior communication and collaboration.
