The Software Developer II is responsible for designing, developing, supporting, and enhancing enterprise applications using Microsoft .NET technologies, Azure Kubernetes-based platforms, and DB2-integrated systems. This role independently delivers application features, resolves complex support issues, and contributes to system reliability and performance.

This mid-Level Application Developer is responsible for designing, developing, supporting, and enhancing enterprise applications using Microsoft .NET technologies, Azure Kubernetes-based platforms, and DB2-integrated systems. This role independently delivers application features, resolves complex support issues, and contributes to system reliability and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain .NET web applications and backend services.
  • Support applications deployed in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) environments.
  • Develop and maintain integrations with DB2 databases, including stored procedures and data access layers.
  • Diagnoses and resolve medium to high complexity production issues.
  • Participate in application deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting in cloud environments.
  • Write efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Contribute to application performance tuning and optimization.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, DevOps, and database teams.
  • Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.
  • Ensure applications meet security, compliance, and operational standards.
  • Support on-call or after-hours rotations as required.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3-6 years of professional application development experience.
  • Experience supporting production applications in an enterprise environment.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Strong experience with:
  • C# and .NET (ASP.NET Core, Web APIs)
  • RESTful services and integration patterns.
  • SQL and relational database design.
  • Entity Framework or any other ORM.
  • NextJS or equivalent experience in similar frameworks.
Working knowledge of:
  • Azure services. (App Services, AKS, monitoring tools)
  • Kubernetes concepts and containerized deployments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with DB2 in production environments
  • Strong understanding of containerization (Docker) and Kubernetes concepts.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines. (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
  • Competency with React, HTML 5, CSS, Bootstrap and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with logging, monitoring, and alerting tools.
  • Experience working in Agile or DevOps teams.
  • Cloud certifications. (Azure Developer Associate or similar)
