Under limited supervision, performs a variety of routine and semiskilled tasks involving general maintenance and/or repair of client facilities, equipment and grounds. Daily hours are 7am to 3:30

Responsibilities

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Keep building exterior and parking garage free from snow and ice
  • Respond to tenant requests and building work orders and complete documentation
  • Assist with preventative maintenance tasks and keep records
  • Follow schedule and respond to after-hours calls as needed
  • Assist with vendors and contractors performing site visits
  • Maintain elevator lobbies
  • Maintain parking garage and loading dock area
  • Maintain exterior grounds: perform trash pick-up, blow leaves in fall, run tractor to remove snow from sidewalks and garage, use salt spreader on sidewalks and in garage, operate power washer
  • Operate building equipment including a John Deere Gator, tractor, snow blower, power washer and billy goat
  • Keep parts and supplies organized and stocked
  • Assist with overtime and non-standard hours as needed
  • Complete required training
Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • 2 years of experience required
  • Should have basic understanding of electrical and plumbing - will be required to troubleshoot issues with toilets and change light bulbs and ballasts
  • HVAC experience is preferred but is not required.
  • Ability to proficiently use hand and power tools
  • Must have strong work ethic and be self-motivated
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and manage time efficiently
  • Ability to problem solve and report maintenance needs to the Building Engineer
  • Must be capable of receiving instructions and following through
  • Must be willing to utilize smart phone provided by company
  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders

Salary Range Language:

The expected rate for this position ranges from $26.00 to $29.00 hourly. The actual hourly rate will be determined on an individualized basis taking into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held. In addition to the hourly rate and a competitive benefits package (including health, vision, and dental insurance, paid time off and a 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching), this position may be eligible for additional types of compensation including discretionary bonuses and other short- and long-term incentives (e.g., deferred cash, equity, etc.).
