FRANKLIN COUNTY COMMUNITY BASED CORRECTIONAL FACILITY:
The Franklin County Community Based Correctional Facility (CBCF) is a minimum security, American Correctional Association (ACA) accredited, residential prison diversion program for adult male offenders. The Franklin County CBCF is a 180-bed facility that houses adult male offenders (referred to as "residents") for a maximum of 180 days. The CBCF believes community safety is of upmost importance. Second is targeting residents' criminogenic needs via intense cognitive behavioral programming in an effort to reduce their likelihood of recidivating. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Under the Supervision of the Food Service Supervisor, the Food Service Specialist prepares meals according to standardized recipes and written menus; prepares individual trays for special diets; operates gas and electrical food service equipment such as stove, slicer, mixer, food processor, steam table, coffee pot; supervises a crew of residents to do meal prep, cooking, and assigned cleaning in the food service area; sets up the steam table and serves the residents; supervises residents in assigned chore description; orders food and supplies; conducts inventory, prepares meals for special occasions; and performs cleaning duties. Assists residents in obtaining ServSafe certification.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work involves a significant amount of standing, walking, sitting, talking, listening, stooping and reaching with hands and arms. Must be able to transfer up to fifty (50) pounds. Visual ability sufficient to operate equipment.
