Job Description
Title: Pathologist's Assistant - Pathology

Schedule:
- Shift: 09:30-18:00

Requirements:
- Certification: ASCP - PA certification is required
- Education: Must have completed a NAACLS-accredited PA program OR be an MD pathologist with grossing experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years preferred
- EMR: Experience with Epic / Beaker is preferred
- Skills: Core clinical skills include gross examination and dissection of surgical specimens, tumor triage, specimen accessioning/labeling, tissue selection for research, and assistance/training of pathology residents in gross room techniques.

Compliance / Notes:
- Medical screening (vaccinations) and background check required prior to the first day.
- Orientation: 10 hours.
- Fingerprinting must be completed immediately after signing the contract; strict deadline applies.
- References: Two professional references are required, at least one must be a manager/director or formal supervisor.
- Employment eligibility: Current OSU employees are ineligible; former employees are eligible after six months away.
