The Pickerington Local School District (PLSD) is seeking interested applicants for a Head Custodian position at Tussing Elementary.
This is a 12 month position working 1st shift hours (6:30am - 3:30pm).
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED equivalency
- Previous custodial work experience preferred
- Ability to maintain care of buildings, grounds and equipment
- Experience with operating heating and ventilating equipment
- Ability to read basic operating instructions
- Ability to communicate and work well with others
- Knowledge and/or ability to learn technical building systems
- Ability to lift, push, pull or carry 80 pounds
- Ability to perform manual labor for long periods of time
- Demonstrates aptitude for successful completion of tasks assigned
- Ability to assist principal/supervisor in creating a safe, clean, positive and comfortable environment
- Ability to lead and give instruction to custodians on all working shifts
- Ability to follow directions and a strong desire to succeed
- Must be friendly, dependable and exhibit a strong work ethic
- Ability to maintain and respect confidential information and situations
- Ability to work well with students, staff and parents of diverse population
