General Duties:Represent The Van Buren Center professionally in the community. Understands and is able tocommunicate the philosophy of the Caring Kitchen and on a daily basis helps to deliver informationto the staff and partner populations about the meals, the sources of the food, the recipes and theoverall Food Services program goals.Establish procedures that will continue to maintain high standards of food service operations.Interact with staff, volunteers and guests regularly to ensure food service program operations areefficient.The Food Services Director will oversee the success of the Caring Kitchen. The CaringKitchen is a new Social Enterprise being operated within the Van Buren Center. The Directorwill initially be responsible for tasks affiliated with a new business, including testing newideas, new transportation methodologies, etc., and closely monitoring and reporting onprogress towards goals and performance indicators of the business.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by anemployee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
