Worthington Parks and Recreation is hiring a Part-Time General Instructor to teach Swim Lessons - Starting salary is $19.04/hr. This position is responsible for planning and instructing swim lessons for children and adults age 6 months and older. This is a year-round position and offers a flexible schedule with weekend availability. The successful candidate will possess strong communication and customer service skills, and a positive attitude.

Duties include:

• Ensure safety of all participants in activities
• Lesson plan in accordance with WPRD established swim lesson curriculum
• Instruct quality swim lessons for children and adults age 6 months and older
• Maintain good communication with staff, participants, and parents
• Demonstrate positive attitude and enthusiasm
• Able to evaluate participant performance and coach appropriately in a group setting
• Respond appropriately during emergency situations
• Maintain accurate reports including incidents, accidents, and cleaning inspections
• Operate general office equipment such as: copier, fax machine, computers

Minimum Qualifications include:

• Previous experience instructing swim lessons
• American Red Cross CPR/AED & Basic First Aid Certification preferred but can be obtained after hiring.
• Ability to lift objects weighing 50 lbs.
