We diligently observe a commitment to quality in all of our practices and adhere to a defined quality policy./ppBasic Purpose/ppThe Warehouse Worker position is responsible for carrying out the logistics of receiving, processing, storing and sending inventory according to the SAP system and shipping schedules. Their duties include loading orders onto trucks and shipping containers, unloading and organizing incoming stock and putting the appropriate labels on outgoing orders. The warehouse worker may also package material off from a railcar or bulk truck into gaylords boxes using a pneumatic packaging system. Assist other team members as needed and lead or assist with special assignments or tasks as requested./ppPosition Responsibilities/pulliPerforms required pre-use inspections of equipment and provide required reports. Monitor hours of service accurately./liliProvides outstanding customer service during the delivery and pick up operations./liliEnsure delivered goods correspond to products identified on the bill of lading./liliDuring loading and unloading of truck process: check weights of shipment and monitor distribution weight to legal road limits, check material for damage and quantity discrepancies, and engage appropriate Nexeo Plastics team member if any discrepancies exist./liliPicks up empty or partially empty drums, totes./liliReviews paperwork to ensure transport of material is authorized and in compliance./liliOperates forklift to pick material, store and stage material and bulk off load material from either bulk tank trucks or rail cars./liliPerforms any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall team operations (e.g., warehouse clean up)./liliAttends and participate in training meetings./liliPerforms duties and tasks in a manner consistent with Business Responsibilities of Nexeo Plastics./liliSpecial tasks as assigned./li/ulpMinimum Requirements (Education, Experience Skills)/pulliHigh School diploma or GED preferred/lili0-2 years previous warehouse experience preferred./liliInventory, Equipment maintenance, data entry and computer skills may be required/liliMust be able to read, write, speak and understand and apply instructions in the English language./liliMust be able to understand and comply with all laws governing the trucking and warehousing industry./liliMust be able to perform basic mathematical calculations related to container quantities, blending, etc./liliMust be a team player/team oriented/liliMust be available to work multiple shifts/liliContinuously be able to identify warehouse layout and assess clearance between objects./liliAbility to see warning signals./liliAbility to stand and walk, as constantly throughout the day./liliWork requires exerting force frequently, and/or up to 55 pounds to constantly move objects, lift, carry and put away parcels./liliAll applicants must be authorized to work in the United States./li/ulpNexeo Plastics is an equal opportunity employer.
