Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler to support the manufacturing and warehouse operations in Marysville, Ohio for an Automotive OEM. The ideal candidate will have a combination of formal education, hands-on experience with shipping, receiving and inventory management, and the ability to physically move and handle materials throughout the facility. Strong computer aptitude is essential, as this role requires learning and using various digital tools and systems to track inventory, manage materials, and support continuous growth in the role. This position is well-suited for individuals looking to develop within a dynamic production environment and contribute to efficient and accurate material flow.

Responsibilities:

Inventory Management
• Perform daily cycle counts, stock checks, and inventory reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP, WMS, or other digital systems.
• Monitor material levels and notify the team of shortages or discrepancies.

Material Movement & Logistics
• Physically move materials, parts, and components between warehouse, production areas, and storage locations.
• Operate pallet jacks, carts, forklifts (if certified), and other material-handling equipment safely.
• Prepare, stage, and deliver materials for production according to schedules.

Receiving & Shipping
• Assist in receiving incoming goods: unloading, verifying, labeling, and storing materials.
• Prepare outbound shipments by picking, packing, labeling, and documenting materials.
• Inspect materials for damage and report issues promptly.

Data & Systems
• Use computer-based tools to update inventory transactions in real time.
• Learn and utilize ERP/WMS systems to track material flow and support departmental reporting.
• Generate basic inventory and material usage reports as needed.

Operational Support
• Follow all safety standards and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Work closely with production, purchasing, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Support continuous improvement activities and contribute to process optimization.
• Supplier travel required when requested.

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or relevant vocational/technical training preferred.
• Minimum 1+ years of experience in manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, or inventory management roles within Automotive industry.
• Familiarity with material handling and working in a factory/warehouse environment.
• Highly proficient in all MS Office tools (primarily Excel and PPT).
• Experience with ERP/WMS systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar) is a plus.
• Strong computer aptitude and willingness to learn new software tools.
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles.
• Ability to read work orders, pick lists, and inventory documents.
• Basic math and record-keeping skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Comfortable standing, walking, and performing physical tasks for extended periods.
• Ability to operate or learn to operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment (certification a plus).
• Dependable, punctual, and safety-focused.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Positive attitude and interest in growing within the role.
