GROUNDSKEEPER

Monday - Friday

8:00 am - 12:00 pm

$17.48 per hour

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Collect litter and debris from designated areas, including lawns, landscape beds, sidewalks, parking lots, and other outdoor areas.
• Empty and clean trash cans and recycling bins regularly to reduce unsightly appearances and prevent the spread of disease.
• Rake, sweep, and bag leaves, dirt, and other natural debris, transporting it to designated collection or disposal points.
• Remove any waste that accumulates in the outdoor space, which may include organic waste like fallen trees or brush, or inorganic waste like general garbage.
• Inspect grounds regularly to identify areas needing attention or potential hazards and report any damage or issues to a supervisor.
• Use hand tools and power equipment (shovels, rakes, brooms, leaf blowers, mowers, etc.) to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks efficiently and safely.
• Maintain the cleanliness of paved areas, walkways, and outdoor furniture.
• Follow all safety protocols while working outdoors and handling waste materials.

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Knowledge of basic landscaping and groundskeeping techniques is often preferred.
• Familiarity with operating maintenance equipment and power tools safely.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Must be able to routinely lift to 50 lbs.
