Job Description:
As a Senior ETL/Tableau Report Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing data solutions and reporting frameworks to support business intelligence and analytics needs. This role requires expertise in ETL processes, Tableau reporting, and SQL development, ensuring data integrity, performance optimization, and seamless integration across systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop Tableau reports and dashboards based on business requirements.
• Assist in designing and developing database architecture, including relational data structures, data marts, and logical/physical data models.
• Create strategies for data acquisition, quality, and discrepancy resolution.
• Support migration and integration of data from legacy systems to modern platforms.
• Develop and maintain efficient, well-documented SQL scripts, stored procedures, and triggers using Microsoft T-SQL.
• Access and manage data across multiple database systems such as DB2 and SQL Server.
• Design, develop, and implement ETL/ELT solutions for data ingestion, cleansing, and distribution.
• Apply data analytics best practices in data modeling and pipeline design.
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to validate requirements.
• Integrate external data sources with internal systems.
• Perform testing, validation, and error handling for ETL processes.
• Design and execute data conversion strategies from legacy platforms.
• Optimize SSIS package execution and SQL performance for data loads.
• Design SSIS packages for secure file transfers (FTP/SFTP) and data exchange tasks.
• Participate in all stages of data lifecycle: requirements gathering, mapping, extraction, loading, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation.
• Develop and deploy Tableau reports to report servers or integrated SharePoint environments.
• Create advanced Tableau features such as dynamic grouping, drill-down reports, and cross-tab summaries.

Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in data engineering and reporting roles.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Tableau development.
• Strong expertise in writing complex SQL queries and T-SQL.
• Proficiency in SSRS, SSIS, or Talend for ETL processes.
• Experience in debugging and optimizing query performance.
• Skilled in deploying SSIS packages using Git, setting environment variables, and creating SQL Agent jobs.
• Familiarity with version control tools such as Team Foundation.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Salesforce integration.
• Knowledge of MuleSoft for data integration.

The hourly range for roles of this nature are $50.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
