Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced, technically talented, and detail-oriented IT professional to join a prestigious MSP as a Project Engineer. This role is ideal for someone with a stronginfrastructure background who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments and is eager to continue growing both technically and professionally.

As a Managed Service Provider (MSP), they support the IT environments of multiple client organizations, ranging in size and complexity. This role requires a well-rounded engineer with hands-on experience across infrastructure disciplines particularly in network, server, cloud, and Microsoft 365 technologies.

Technical Experience Required
  • Networking: TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VPNs, VLANs, firewalls (Meraki, SonicWALL, Cisco ASA), switches, SNMP, STP, wireless, and storage (SAN/NAS)
  • Windows Server: Administration, deployment, Hyper-V
  • Microsoft Office 365: Administration and migration
  • Cloud platforms: Azure, AWS
  • Workstation OS: Windows 10, macOS
  • Business applications: Microsoft Office, QuickBooks
  • VOIP solutions: RingCentral or similar
Typical Projects
  • Network infrastructure refreshes (firewalls, switches, wireless, ISPs)
  • Subtenant network setups (segregated access for leased spaces)
  • VOIP phone system implementations
  • Server refresh and consolidation projects
  • Cloud migrations (Azure, AWS, M365, Entra ID)
  • Microsoft 365 tenant consolidation/split (for M&A)
  • UPS system design and deployment
  • Conference room technology implementation
Key Responsibilities
  • Independently or collaboratively deliver IT projects based on technical expertise
  • Review project scopes in coordination with design resources and other engineers
  • Mentor junior technical staff as needed
  • Log time and status updates daily (billing, CSAT, EAC compliance)
  • Maintain/update technical documentation during and after projects
  • Conduct knowledge transfer with support teams to ensure successful handoff
  • Participate in weekly on-call rotation (typically 1 week/month)
Minimum Requirements
  • 5+ years in infrastructure-focused IT support
  • 3+ years delivering projects independently or in a lead role
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Valid drivers license and reliable insured vehicleBachelors degree or equivalent education/experience
