Our client, a well-established and growing general contractor with a strong reputation in commercial and diverse project markets, is seeking a Preconstruction Manager to join their Wilmington area office. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping projects from concept through ground break while working with a collaborative, forward-thinking team.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the preconstruction process on multiple projects across commercial and other sectors.
• Oversee budgeting, conceptual estimating, and cost modeling to ensure accurate project scope and financial alignment.
• Partner with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to drive value engineering and design development.
• Prepare, review, and present detailed estimates, proposals, and schedules to internal teams and clients.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with trade partners and vendors to ensure competitive coverage and quality pricing.
• Mentor and guide junior preconstruction staff, fostering growth and technical development.
• Support business development efforts by providing accurate takeoffs, estimates, and preconstruction insights.

• 3+ years of preconstruction or estimating experience within commercial construction.
• Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and materials.

• Hybrid work schedule
• Base salary between 105 and 135K annually with annual bonus potential
