POSITION SUMMARY Support the Community Health and Clinical Safety team, including the Clinical Risk Management Program (CRMP) for federally qualified health centers and free clinics, by creating written deliverables; creating and delivering in-person and virtual presentations; developing e-learning, workshop, and other educational programs; providing one-to-one coaching and education through focused education programs; facilitating guidance, education, and other tasks provided as part of ECRI and the ISMP PSO; proposing new topics and deliverable types; and contributing to annual and other reporting to demonstrate program value.

Essential Function Statement(s):Research and Development: •
Research and develop written deliverables (e.g., checklists, sample tools) within parameters defined by client to achieve patient safety and risk management goals.

Research, develop, and deliver presentations for webinars, in-person conferences, workshops, and other venues.
•
Research and develop e-learning and other educational deliverables.
•
Participate in educational programs, review journals and other reliable sources, and participate in other activities to remain current in subject areas relevant to the client to identify and propose future topics and deliverable types. Subject areas may include, but not be limited to, maternal health/obstetrics as a key focus area, rural health, infection prevention and control, credentialing and privileging, health information technology, behavioral health, emergency preparedness and response, occupational health, oral health, or other topics.

Review deliverables created by colleagues for accuracy, timeliness, completeness, and alignment with client goals and needs.
Client Relationships and Responsiveness: •
Respond to phone and email queries from users to assist with applying risk management, patient safety, and quality management principles and strategies.
•
Attend routine and ad hoc meetings with client to review current projects, plan future projects, and understand client goals and objectives.
•
Respond to and implement feedback from client on specific deliverables and general program direction, including participating in ad hoc communication with client to review deliverables.
•
Participate in meetings with the ECRI team and external guests (e.g., guest speakers) to review ongoing projects, plan for future program development, and ensure client satisfaction.
•
Participate in user groups and advisory board meetings to gain user feedback to inform future program development.
•
Attend national or regional conferences to promote Clinical Risk Management Program resources and support health center clients.
Analysis/Consulting: •
Support health centers participating in ECRI and the ISMP PSO as liaison and main point of contact; provide feedback on reported events, root cause analyses, and other documents; assist clients with questions and provide risk management recommendations; participate in process calls and other activities with PSO participants.

Support and coach health centers participating in one-to-one support tasks by reviewing documents, meeting with key staff, developing action plans, and providing in-depth guidance; site visits may be required on a case-by-case basis.
•
Support and coach health centers by acting as a subject matter expert in the following areas as they pertain to ambulatory risk management (including but not limited to): Obstetrics and maternal health (key area), Rural health, Infection prevention and control, Health information technology, Behavioral health, Occupational health, Emergency preparedness and response, Dental services, HIPAA
•
Support other projects that promote maternal health improvement work.
Additional Responsibilities: •
Participate in functional teams, affinity groups, and ad-hoc projects throughout the Medical Office and ECRI to expand ECRI's mission, in support of ambulatory care safety, risk, and quality management.

QUALIFICATIONSExperience: •
Minimum of five years' experience in a physician practice, ambulatory care, hospital, long-term care, and/or or other healthcare setting. Experience in a physician practice is preferred.
•
Experience in clinical, legal, risk management, quality management, patient safety, and/or other healthcare operational roles preferred.
•
Experience in obstetrics (OB)/maternal health (e.g., as an OB nurse) preferred.
•
Basic understanding of risk management, patient safety, and quality management.
•
Basic understanding of federal acts and regulations, programs, and professional standards.
•
Must demonstrate writing, presentation, and analysis skills.
•
Must be well organized in approaches, be systematic and meticulous in attending to detail, and possess excellent customer service and presentation skills.
•
Ability to communicate with diverse groups, including C-suite administrators, physicians, nurses, patient safety, quality, and risk management professionals, infection control professionals, and others
Education: •
Bachelor's Degree required. Degree in healthcare- or medical-related field preferred.
Computer Skills: •
Proficient with Microsoft Windows 10, iOS, macOS, Office 364
Certifications & Licenses: Certifications or licenses in healthcare- or medical-related field (e.g., registered nurse, certified physical or occupational therapist, certified professional in healthcare risk management, certified professional in patient safety, certified professional in healthcare quality, certification in infection control) preferred.
POSITION COMPENSATION The salary range for new employees in this position is $92,902.52 - $105,444.36, based on background, experience, and skills. In addition, new employees in this position are eligible for all of our benefit offerings, including, but not limited to, health and welfare benefits, 403(B) retirement savings, and paid time off (PTO).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS This position operates in a remote environment and requires the individual to remain in a stationary position, whether sitting or standing, before a desk or other fixed workspace, most of their workday. In addition, this position requires the individual to occasionally move about their workspace to access and inspect work-related materials, such as file cabinets with physical files and standard office equipment. This position requires the ability to operate standard office equipment, including, but not limited to, a laptop, keyboard, mouse, webcam, and phone, as well as effectively communicate information and ideas to a wide variety of audiences in written and oral form.
