Handyman/Skilled Laborer , Modular Building Remodeling
Shift: Monday - Friday | 7 AM - 3:30 PM
Location: Bakersfield, CA
Pay Rate: $19 - $21/hr, paid weekly

Job Summary:
Handyman/Skilled Laborer perform inspections, repairs, and readiness work on modular buildings, covering areas such as carpentry, light electrical, flooring, plumbing, painting, and general maintenance. This role requires a strong commitment to quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety and Environment:
    • Adhere to company safety policies and promote a safe work environment.
    • Attend safety meetings and keep work areas clean and organized.
  • Fleet Maintenance and Repairs:
    • Conduct repairs on modular buildings, including carpentry, electrical, flooring, plumbing, painting, and HVAC maintenance.
    • Inspect and document building conditions upon check-in/out, assess repair needs, and create floor plans as necessary.
    • Provide customer service by explaining repairs and modifications, managing inventory, and completing paperwork for deliveries and service calls.
    • Ensure modular units meet quality standards for scheduled deliveries.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills and strong communication abilities to interact with customers, sales teams, contractors, and other employees.
  • Carpentry experience required; electrical, plumbing, and welding skills are a plus.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a clean record.
