We are looking for a Warehouse Shift Lead who will lead the warehouse team while promoting positive employee relations and ensuring the highest levels of accuracy and quality.
SHIFT: Sunday through Thursday 9:00PM - 5:00AM.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
• Lead warehouse employees and ensure that assigned tasks are completed during periods of limited supervision on-site or in off-site facilities.
• Complete necessary incident reporting and investigations in accordance to safety and department guidelines.
• Utilize neighboring departments and resources during times of adversity to appropriately handle difficult situations and/or decisions.
• Build and maintain strong relationship with associates and department leadership (HR, Facilities, Production, etc.).
• Conduct and document formal training sessions with associates to ensure company and department policies and procedures are implemented and followed.
• Maintain safe working practices for all employees.
• Develop warehouse associates and knowledge in their respective work areas.
• Train in forklift operations and safety.
• Open up building at start of shift and lock and secure the building at end of the shift.
• Keep track of accurate cycle counts and stock change movement of products.
• Other duties as assigned.
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but has indirect supervisory responsibilities while serving as the lead on shift.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS
Must be able to successfully pass and maintain certification on all Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) utilized at SK Food Group.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
The following skills are required: Microsoft office - Word, Excel, Outlook. This lead must be proficient and have a good working knowledge in all of these programs. Flexibility and eagerness to tackle new problems.
