Lead Electrical Field Technician: Columbus, OH

Schedule: 90% Field - 10% Office

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• 5+ years of experience within the electrical industry managing projects such as solar installations, electrical construction, engine mechanics, etc.
• Leadership experience over field crews running documentation, communicating responsibilities across the team, scheduling routine maintenance, etc.
• Team leadership in field services
• Contractor management
• KPI tracking
• Valid U.S. drivers license & personal vehicle

Role: Lead a field services team, optimize work planning across operations/construction, enforce EHS standards, manage contractors, and improve KPIs (safety, response time, first?truck?roll resolution, availability).

Responsibilities

• Mentor, set goals, coach, and train technicians to elevate safety, skills, and performance.
• Prioritize inspections, preventive/corrective work; troubleshoot faults and underperformance.
• Oversee contractors for large evolutions or surge support; ensure timely resolution of high?priority issues.
• Champion strict EHS (LOTO, PPE, hazard recognition, safe work planning); maintain environmental compliance records.
• Maximize labor value; manage resources for efficient, cost?effective maintenance; identify cost/revenue optimization (local partners, upgrades, proactive testing, monitoring, OEM training).
