The Maintenance Technician supports engineering and maintenance operations for a functioning courthouse environment. This role performs commercial plumbing, lighting, equipment servicing, and general facilities maintenance, ensuring a clean, safe, and operational workspace. Candidates must maintain professional conduct, be comfortable working independently, and follow safety and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform basic commercial plumbing and lighting repairs.
- Support general building maintenance and equipment servicing.
- Review and complete work orders and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Participate in brief morning meetings to review open work orders.
- Maintain small to medium-sized buildings and industrial systems.
- Follow safety regulations and complete required background screening.
- Demonstrate professional conduct in a courthouse environment.
- At least 1 year of maintenance experience.
- Basic commercial plumbing and lighting experience (must-have skills).
- Ability to work independently after initial training.
- General maintenance background.
- CMMS system experience.
- Relevant maintenance or trade certifications (preferred but not required).
