Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician supports engineering and maintenance operations for a functioning courthouse environment. This role performs commercial plumbing, lighting, equipment servicing, and general facilities maintenance, ensuring a clean, safe, and operational workspace. Candidates must maintain professional conduct, be comfortable working independently, and follow safety and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform basic commercial plumbing and lighting repairs.
  • Support general building maintenance and equipment servicing.
  • Review and complete work orders and preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Participate in brief morning meetings to review open work orders.
  • Maintain small to medium-sized buildings and industrial systems.
  • Follow safety regulations and complete required background screening.
  • Demonstrate professional conduct in a courthouse environment.
Required Experience
  • At least 1 year of maintenance experience.
  • Basic commercial plumbing and lighting experience (must-have skills).
  • Ability to work independently after initial training.
Nice-to-Have Experience
  • General maintenance background.
  • CMMS system experience.
  • Relevant maintenance or trade certifications (preferred but not required).
