Manufacturing Process Technician (Night Shift)

A leading biotechnology manufacturing organization is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Technician/Manufacturing Technician to support overnight packaging and manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for operating and troubleshooting highly automated manufacturing and packaging equipment in a GMP-regulated environment.

Shifts:

  • Overnight Swing Shift, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM, 12-hour shifts, Alternating days
  • Night Shift (4x10s), 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM, Monday-Thursday, Occasional Fridays required (paid overtime), Expect overtime approximately 2x per month
Pay: $24-30/hr
Contract: 1- 2 years
Location: New Albany, OH

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate, set up, and troubleshoot automated manufacturing and packaging equipment
  • Maintain equipment uptime by identifying alarms, clearing faults, and resolving stoppages
  • Perform routine manufacturing activities including material dispensing, reconciliation, line clearance, and documentation
  • Review, follow, and perform initial reviews of SOPs, batch records, logs, and job plans
  • Use HMIs to monitor equipment performance and correct line issues
  • Conduct equipment inspections and initiate corrective or preventative work orders
  • Ensure materials and components are available to support continuous operations
  • Enter transactions into inventory systems (e.g., SAP) and electronic batch records
  • Audit critical manufacturing records for accuracy and compliance
  • Identify deviations, quality issues, and propose corrective actions (CAPAs)
  • Partner cross-functionally to support process improvements, investigations, and validations
  • Train Manufacturing Operators and Associate Manufacturing staff on processes and equipment
  • Support documentation development and revision (MPs, SOPs, technical reports, validation documents)
  • Perform data analysis (e.g., SPC, CPV) of critical process parameters
  • Support new product introductions and lifecycle activities
  • Comply with all GMP, safety, quality, and EHS requirements
Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED plus 1-2 years of manufacturing, packaging, pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or military experience
  • Associate's Degree plus 6 months of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's Degree (recent graduates encouraged to apply)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences or Engineering plus 2 years of directly related experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a GMP-regulated environment
  • Mechanical aptitude with hands-on troubleshooting ability
  • Experience with automated equipment, robotics, or HMIs
  • Familiarity with electronic batch records and inventory systems
  • Ability to follow detailed written procedures and documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and independent work capability
  • Basic statistical, technical writing, and data analysis skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 lbs
  • Team-oriented, reliable, and quality-focused mindset
