Description
• Provide highly visible customer support through on-site installation, diagnosis, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex proton therapy equipment and ancillary systems
• Check out and approve operational quality of system equipment to ensure compliance with technical standards
• Instruct customers in the operation and maintenance of systems
• Serve as the primary liaison with customers on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects
• Interpret customer needs and clarify responsibility for problem resolution
• Perform field support on system hardware, software, PCs, networking, and wireless networking
• Install and upgrade a wide range of advanced products per technical documentation and guidelines
• Demonstrate product operation and confirm system performance according to the Customer Acceptance Procedure (CAP)
• Train customers in basic operation and maintenance
• May coordinate or review activities of small groups of Installation Representatives
Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education:
• Proficiency with mechanical tools: torque wrenches, precision gauges & levels, micrometers, calipers, vernier scales, drills, taps/dies, lubrication equipment, adhesives
• Proficiency with electrical tools: digital multimeter, oscilloscopes, circuit/component tools, soldering
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex electromechanical systems
Requirements:
• Intermediate-level mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Strong hands-on troubleshooting and repair experience
• Ability to work on complex hardware/software, PCs, and networking systems
• Strong customer service and communication skills
