Residential Staff / Direct Support Professional PRN

Description:

North Community Counseling Centers, Inc. is searching for qualified and dedicated PRN residential care staff members to provide exceptional in-house care to the clients of our Next Generation Program. We are looking for an individual who will work at one primary location of our 4 Residential Houses and have the flexibility to work at other houses when needed. All locations are in Franklin County. Mental Health residents are adults suffering from mental health and substance abuse issues.

WILLING TO WORK HOLIDAYS & WEEDENDS

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the health and safety of our clients
  • Administer medications
  • Cook healthy meals, per State regulations/guidelines
  • Confirm that food is available to coordinate with menus.
  • Complete balanced weekly menus for 2 weeks.
  • Clean and maintain the office area and common areas of the home.
  • Hourly house checks: Being aware of the whereabouts of every resident on the hour.
  • Assist residents assigned to you with completion of their ADLs and maintenance of their room.
  • Ensure the bathrooms are clean at the end of your shift.
  • Ensure the kitchen and dining room areas are clean at the end of your shift, all dishes are put away, tables and counter tops are cleaned off.
  • Plan and implement activities.
  • Maintain residents schedule for your shift.
  • Supervise client medication, charting all incoming medications, coordination with nurse and case manager regarding medication compliance. Behavior documentation
  • Incident reports
  • Communication logs
  • Communicate with co-workers and house managers about concerns or activities completed/need completed throughout the shift
  • Maintain required certifications and training
  • Monitor medical needs of the individual(s)
  • Provide behavioral intervention, as needed
  • Serve as a role model of appropriate behavior and social skills in the home and the community
  • Conduct additional services requested by our consumer or their service team that may improve their quality of life, health and safety
Qualifications:
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Experience working with mental health clients, preferred but not required
  • Able to pass a background check and drug test
  • CPR Required (we offer training)
