Project Engineer – Water & Wastewater | Columbus, OH

We are seeking a motivated Project Engineer to support the planning and execution of water and wastewater construction projects in the Columbus market. This role offers hands-on exposure to WWTPs, pump stations, utilities, and civil infrastructure, working closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Support planning, scheduling, and budgeting for water and wastewater projects
• Review drawings, specifications, and contracts for scope and compliance
• Prepare RFIs, submittals, material takeoffs, and project documentation
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and field crews to maintain schedules
• Track quantities, production, and costs to support project controls
• Assist with field operations, safety, quality, and issue resolution
• Participate in meetings with owners, inspectors, and project stakeholders
• Support project closeout including as-builts, O&M manuals, and punch lists

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• 1–4 years of experience in water/wastewater or heavy civil construction
• Ability to read and interpret civil, utility, and process drawings
• Proficiency with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, MS Office, and scheduling tools
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
