job summary:
A Procurement Analyst is needed for a world class utility company in the Columbus, OH area. This is a Procurement Support role specialized in the planning and execution of reverse auctions to drive cost savings and optimize supplier selection for the organization.

responsibilities:

• Support Procurement Consultants and Category Managers in the strategic planning and execution of reverse auctions.
  
  
• Assist in the development of sourcing documents and decision-making frameworks to prepare for auction events.
  
  
• Drive organizational cost savings and enhance supplier relationships through the use of reverse auction methodologies.
  
  
• Communicate auction data and performance outcomes to stakeholders to assess total savings and supplier value.
  
  
• Collaborate with procurement leadership to refine strategies and improve internal auction processes.
  
  
• Utilize analytical skills to evaluate supplier performance and optimize procurement efficiency.
  
  
• Monitor and address recurring issues within the auction lifecycle to ensure continuous process improvement.
  
  
• Interface with business partners and suppliers to facilitate clear communication during the sourcing process.
  
  
• Leverage data tools such as Maximo and Cognos to manage procurement information and reporting.

Skills:

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills desired.
  
  
• Familiarity with Maximo and Cognos preferred.
  
  
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) desired with an ability to communicate with business partners, stakeholders, and suppliers.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, supply chain, or other related field or 4 years of relevant work experience.
  
  
• In addition to any experience required above, 3 years of relevant customer service and/or procurement experience required.
