Behavior Technician - Autism Intervention Center
POSITION TITLE: Behavior Technician (BT)
PURPOSE: The Behavior Technician position is a multi-faceted position due to the variety of services that may be provided by this staff member depending on their specific caseload including mental health treatment and support services, therapeutic behavior intervention services, psycho-social rehabilitation, intensive intervention services, and education services. Services may address the individualized mental health and/or educational needs of the client as determined by the client's daily/weekly/monthly service schedule.
ORGANIZATIONAL LEVEL:
EDUCATION REQUIRED: High school diploma or equivalent and 21 years of age (if serving children/adolescents) required; High school diploma or equivalent and at least 21 years of age (if serving children/adolescents) with 3 years or more of related experience, or a bachelor's degree or master's degree in social work, psychology, nursing, or in a related human services preferred. Knowledge and application of the principles and procedures of Applied Behavior Analysis or prior experience with Applied Behavior Analysis or with special needs children preferred. Must complete agency QBHS training upon hire.
PRODUCTIVITY REQUIREMENT: 1,200 hours per year (12 months)
