Scheduling/Availability
The scheduling process is flexible with a variety of shifts available including days, evenings, weekends and holidays. We are currently seeking applicants regularly available to work during the following:
* Mondays, 4:15-8:15pm
* Tuesdays, 4:15-8:15pm
* Fridays, 4:15-8:15pm
* Saturdays, 7:45am-12:15pm
* Sundays, 9:30am-1:15pm

Examples of Duties
Childcare Attendant duties include, but are not limited to:
* Design and implement daily crafts and activities for children of different ages to be able to participate in while they are in the room.
* Maintain the safety and well-being the kids using the Wee Folk Room by following Wee Folk policies and procedures.
* Communicate and problem solve calmly and respectfully with families, facility staff and DCRC full-time staff.
* Staying up to date on any new room policies, rules and trainings.
* Updating medical and emergency information in the computer system.
* Informing parents of sign in/out processes.
* Ensure the security of equipment and supplies, including tracking inventory and timely planning for replacement of supplies.
* Assist in the management and care of the physical facilities and equipment in the Wee Folk Room and outside play area.
* Conduct a daily check of the area and equipment for safety, cleanliness and good repair.
* Clean program area, keeping it free of hazards and debris.
* Interact with children and parents in a fair and positive manner.
* Stay alert to the children and assist as needed.
* Work cooperatively with other staff members, supervisors and Managers on Duty to create a safe and enjoyable experience that keep children involved and having fun.
Working with Fellow Child Care Attendants

* Abide by mandatory reporting policies as described in the staff manual.
* Participate and assist in the implementation of activities for children.
* Actively participate and assist other staff in all activities.
* Effectively communicate problems or concerns to the Operations Coordinator.
Typical Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
* Must be at least 15 years of age or older
* Regularly available to work at least one of the shifts we are seeking to fill
* Possession of current American Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid certifications, or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire
* Strong communication and organization skills
* Willing to work under direct supervision
* Ability to work independently as well as on a team
Preferred Qualifications
* Prior experience in childhood development, babysitting, recreation or latchkey programs
* Current/previous certification in American Red Cross Babysitting
Physical Requirements
* Potential to lift up to 25 lbs.
* Ability to sit on the floor for a period of time in order to play or read with children

* Attend required staff meetings and trainings
* Regular, predictable and punctual attendance
* Ability to develop positive relationships with people from different backgrounds
* Perform duties assigned to the best of your ability and with a positive attitude
