Join us in our mission to provide an exceptional education experience that prepares students for success in school, career, and life.QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or general education degree (GED)One to two years related experienceRequired to lift, carry, push and pull various supplies and/or equipment up to a maximum of 50 poundsSuch alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent and/or Board Of Education may find appropriatePERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:Collect money from the lock box and enter the amount into the appropriate student account ensuring the cash drawer is ready for the day's sales.Collect lunch money in an expedient and pleasant manner from the students and staff.Assist with set- up and/or preparation duties for breakfast and lunch.Assist with ordering necessary food and/or supplies required for the planned menu and/or the activities by informing the cook when stock is low.Work with the Food Service Director regarding free, reduced, pre-paid, workers and paid students and the records, reports and procedures required for these students' services.Count all daily food service receipts and deposits. Process deposit based on Licking Heights cash handling procedures.Perform all end line set-up duties, such as fill milk coolers, display cases, condiments, plastic ware, and vending machine (where applicable)Assist with preparing food according to tested recipes and/or directions, ensuring proper cooking times and temperatures are followed.Under the cook's guidance, keep accurate records of how much food was prepared on a daily basis, updating the number when necessary, and submit these records to the cook.Ensure that each meal leaving the serving line meets the requirements of a reimbursable meal per the NSLP.After each lunch shift, restock milk, display cases, condiments, plastic ware and vending machine items (where applicable), then assist the cook in preparing food for the next shift, keeping a count of prepared items for the day.Assist with clean up after meal service, including items such as, wiping off work surfaces, door/drawer handles, washing dishes to include pots and pans.For high school/middle school only: assist in ordering drinks, chips, etc. for vending.Assist with putting away deliveries according to the cook's instructions making sure stock is rotated as necessary.Assist with the completion of the monthly inventory report under the direction of the cook.Perform any other duties as assigned by the Food Service Director as pertains to job goals.WORK CONDITIONS:The work environment characteristics, described here, are not listed in order of importance, and are representative of those an employee encounters while completing the duties and responsibilities of this job.
