About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Buyer to join our clients manufacturing team. This role is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing materials and supplies to ensure production schedules are met efficiently and cost-effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and purchase raw materials, components, and supplies required for manufacturing operations.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with vendors to achieve cost savings and maintain quality standards.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production teams to ensure timely material availability.
• Evaluate supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships.
• Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
• Prepare purchase orders and maintain accurate procurement records in ERP systems.
• Resolve issues related to delivery, quality, or invoicing discrepancies.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams on material specifications and requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and cost control strategies is a plus.
