Saw Operator - Full-Time - 2nd Shift

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and precise Saw Operator to join our production team on the second shift (typically 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM). In this critical role, you will be responsible for accurately cutting and processing materials using advanced saw equipment, ensuring both quality and efficiency throughout the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret technical documents such as blueprints and job orders to determine material needs and cutting specifications.
• Select and retrieve appropriate materials based on job requirements.
• Safely set up and operate saw machinery.
• Conduct thorough quality checks on completed parts using various measurement tools to confirm dimensional accuracy.
• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Collaborate effectively with other departments and team members to maintain seamless production flow.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies, maintaining a clean, organized, and secure work area.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned to support production goals.

• A minimum of one year of experience operating digitally controlled saws is preferred.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and accurately using measurement tools.
• Forklift certification is a plus, but not required.
• Demonstrated strong work ethic and meticulous attention to detail.

• Ability to stand, crouch, or kneel for extended periods.
• Capable of regularly lifting and moving materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Work is performed in a manufacturing environment that is not climate controlled.
• Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses and hearing protection.
