As a Retail Associate, you will play a vital role in creating an enjoyable shopping experience for our customers. Your key responsibilities will include merchandising and stocking products, processing transactions at the cash register, and ensuring our store is clean and inviting. Collaborating with a dedicated team, you will provide exceptional customer service and support our store's operations.

Position Details:

  • Employment Type: Full-Time
  • Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
  • Starting Wage: $18.00 per hour
  • Wage Increases: Year 2 - $18.50 | Year 3 - $19.00 | Year 4 - $19.00 | Year 5 - $20.00

  • Process customer purchases efficiently, maintain store cleanliness, and neatly stock shelves.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service, assisting customers with their shopping needs.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively with store management.
  • Provide valuable feedback to management on product assortment, inventory issues, and operational concerns.
  • Assist in inventory counts and ensure the accuracy of stock levels.
  • Follow cash handling procedures to minimize losses.
  • Comply with all company policies and maintain the confidentiality of documents and data.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stock merchandise from receiving areas to shelving and lift products weighing up to 45 pounds.
  • Regularly sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk throughout the store.
  • Must be able to perform all tasks with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Exemplary customer service skills.
  • Efficiency and accuracy in operating a cash register.
  • Ability to safely use equipment such as electric/manual hand jacks and floor scrubbers.
  • Experience in general cleaning tasks to meet company standards.
  • Understand and apply company policies and procedures effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Meet state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a retail setting is an advantage.
  • A combination of education and work experience in related fields is also acceptable.
