Description:

MVM Moving and Storage is looking for a dedicated and responsible Crew Leader to lead our moving teams in delivering exceptional service to our customers. As a Crew Leader, you will oversee a team of movers, ensuring each job is executed efficiently, safely, and to our high standards of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Moving Crew: Directly manage and work alongside a team of movers to load, transport, and unload furniture and personal belongings.
  • Customer Service: Be the primary point of contact for customers on moving day, addressing questions and concerns professionally and promptly.
  • Job Preparation: Review job details in advance, inspect moving equipment and trucks for readiness, and ensure all necessary materials are available.
  • Safety Oversight: Enforce safety protocols to prevent injuries and property damage, including accurate documentation of any incidents as required.
  • Training & Supervision: Mentor and train team members in proper moving techniques, equipment use, and best practices for handling fragile items.
  • Problem Solving: Resolve on-the-job challenges and make quick decisions to ensure the job stays on schedule.
  • Record Keeping: Complete paperwork accurately and submit it promptly, ensuring all details about the job and crew performance are recorded.

Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in moving or a related field. Previous leadership experience is highly preferred.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects, stand, bend, and work for extended periods.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills, able to provide clear instructions and foster a positive team environment.
  • Valid Driver's License: A valid license with a clean driving record; CDL is a plus.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to think on your feet and adapt to changing situations.
  • Customer-Focused: Friendly, professional, and dedicated to providing excellent service to customers.
