Job Overview:This position can independently decontaminates, cleans, prepares, retrieves, and sterilizes surgical items and equipment. This position also stores and issues supplies in accordance with departmental policies and procedures. This position must have complete knowledge to use specific mechanical equipment, such as, sonic cleaners, washer sterilizers, EtO, Sterrad, Steris, and other specialized equipment; must also have extensive knowledge of regulatory agency requirements and adhere to guidelines.
