Reports To: Support Operations Assistant Manager
Job Type: Full-time and Part-Time
Travel: None
Compensation: starting $20.00/hr

Job Summary

As a Building and Groundkeeper in the Support Operations department, you will play a key role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of Trillium Farms' facilities and grounds. Your efforts will contribute to upholding the company's reputation within the community and ensuring a safe, well-maintained environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Safely operate and maintain various equipment, including but not limited to mowers, rotary mowers, string trimmers, edgers, utility vehicles, backpack blowers, portable pumps, tractors, sweepers, blades, loaders, backhoes, skid steers, rototillers, chainsaws, sprayers, snowplows, salt spreaders, and other hand tools.
  • Inspect, clean, and make necessary minor adjustments to assigned machinery before and after use.
  • Report any machinery or equipment issues to management promptly.
  • Maintain maintenance and fluid use logs (gas and oil) for all assigned equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on company grounds and assets, including but not limited to loading and unloading materials, trimming trees, removing cuttings, drainage installation and repair, and general groundskeeping duties.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned to support operational needs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Ability to safely operate and maintain a variety of landscaping and maintenance equipment.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge to inspect and perform minor adjustments on equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to safety and compliance with company policies.

Required Qualifications
  • Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and strong work ethic.
  • Valid Ohio driver's license.
  • Experience is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided to the right candidate.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or facility maintenance.
  • Familiarity with operating heavy equipment.
  • Additional certifications related to equipment operation or maintenance.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Regularly required to operate vehicles and equipment for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs. occasionally, 50 lbs. frequently, and 20 lbs. constantly.
  • Work performed in outdoor environments with exposure to varying weather conditions.
  • Occasionally required to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and use hands to handle tools or equipment.
