Network Order Entry Specialist (Telecom)

Location: 100% on-site in Columbus, OH

Schedule: Typically Monday‑Friday, Day‑Shift (flexible to work alternate or swing shift as business needs dictate)

Contract Duration: 6 month contract‑to‑permanent‑hire opportunity

Pay Rate: $20‑25/hour (depending upon experience)

THE POSITION

The Network Order Entry Specialist for DISN Consolidated Provisioning (DCP) will support the provisioning lifecycle throughout the order entry, order preparation, solution design, and circuit activation phases. This professional will also participate in customer outreach support, QoS configuration, commercial leasing support, and facilities engineering.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Enter and update configuration and administrative changes in the configuration management database.
• Identify and allocate building components, modules, ports, virtual interfaces and/or cross‑connections.
• Maintain non‑conforming circuit lists for circuits that do not have a viable technical solution available.
• Support DISA projects using existing and/or future government configuration management databases to develop and maintain comprehensive lists of circuits, known as Master Circuit Lists (MCLs), and trunks impacted by the project.
• Develop Method of Precedence or Procedure (MOP) to detail how circuits are transitioned based on redundancy, hot cuts, and identify critical dependencies.
• Track status of service requests, MCLs, and CTPs in the government‑provided tracking repository.
• Track progress of critical requirements within the prescribed timeframe.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently active DoD‑issued Secret Security Clearance
• High School Diploma or GED
• 2+ years of military experience in a communications field or an applicable technical discipline; OR 2+ years in an accredited technical training program, including 1 year of experience in an applicable communication field; OR 2+ years of experience in a communication field or applicable technical discipline.
