Member Services Counselor – Columbus, OH (Hybrid)

This is a customer service-oriented position representing OPERS. The Member Services Counselor will provide information for members, benefit recipients, and others regarding OPERS benefits and services, answer inquiries, and solve problems. This position will work to perform all duties with a high degree of commitment to accuracy, quality, and efficiency.

• A High School Diploma or GED is required, with an associate's degree being preferred
• At least two years of experience in OPERS Member Services or a customer service-related role
• Have an aptitude for understanding financial information
• Strong research and analytical skills
• The ability to take initiative and be self-directed in your work
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Be able and willing to think outside the box
